Actor Allen Leech has revealed he couldn’t get a agent before appearing in Downton Abbey.
The 34-year-old Dubliner admitted “doors have opened” for him since starring as Tom Branson in the hit ITV drama.
“A huge amount of doors have opened for me and I’m very grateful because I didn’t expect anything from it,” he said.

“I went out to America 10 or 11 years ago and I couldn’t get arrested, let alone get an agent.
“But if you go out there on the back of a show that has had the global success of Downton, it’s such a different story,” he told TV Times.
Meanwhile, the Killiney native will next be seen on the big screen in Hunter’s Prayer opposite Sam Worthington.
