It looks like bad news for Jack Reynor as the actor is no longer the frontrunner to portray Han Solo in a standalone movie set in the Star Wars universe.
The actor was among a list of young stars rumoured to be in the running to portray the character, however his chances seem to have slimmed.
According to Deadline.com, Hail, Ceaser! star Alden Ehrenreich is said to be the frontrunner to take on the role after impressive producers with his screen test.

Casting for the role originally made famous by Harrison Ford has been kept top secret, however Jack’s name was first linked with the role late last year.
The Dubliner previously said taking on the role would “blow his mind”.
“If I have an opportunity to play that character of course it will blow my f***ing mind! It’s Han Solo!” he said.
Disney’s upcoming Han Solo movie will focus on the character in his younger days before he joined forces with the Rebel Alliance.
It is scheduled to hit cinemas on May 25, 2018.
