EXCLUSIVE! Retro Flame's advice to bloggers that want to go full-time

Blogger Retro Flame aka Erika Fox has given advice to bloggers hoping to go full-time, and people that hope to make a move to the States in the future.

The Kerry native has fast become one of Ireland’s most popular Fashion & Lifestyle bloggers, but it certainly didn’t happen over night.

“It doesn’t happen over night, its something I’ve really been working towards for three or four years now,” she told Goss.ie.

Giving advice to fellow bloggers who wish to do the same, she said: “Just be consistent and keep blogging away, do what you have to do until you can do what you want to do and it will all come together.

“It just takes hard work and consistency.”

The flame-haired blogger currently resides in New York City, but admitted that the process of moving to the States is definitely not easy, and you have to be prepared for the stress.

“Definitely don’t underestimate how hard it will be, it’s worth every bit of stress but I think people kind of might not realise how much stress it actually is at the time.

“But it’s brilliant and I mean there’s bad days and there’s good days – but the good days make up for all the bad days.

While the process of moving country may be stressful, Erika revealed that it’s all worth it in the end.

“Just look into the different visas, I went on the Graduate visa first and then I got the H1B and now I’m on the O-1 visa.

“So it just takes time and a lot of work and a lot of internships, but it all pays off in the end,” she added.

Goss.ie also spoke to Erika Fox about how she deals with online hate.
