Lenny Abrhamson has landed his next directorial project.
The Dublin director will be taking the helms of Neal Bascomb’s upcoming book The Grand Escape for its big screen adaptation.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be produced by Element Pictures who have worked with Lenny on his last few films, including the Oscar nominated flick Room.

The Grand Escape tells the true story of three World War I pilots who are being held in Germany’s most infamous POW prison.
The story follows the war’s greatest mass prison escape and the pilots’ quest for freedom.
Lenny was nominated for Best Director at the Academy Awards for his work on Room with star Brie Larson picking up the golden statue for Best Leading Actress.
The news comes after the film maker previously told Goss.ie several good things were coming his way after the success of the indie flick.
