Cillian Murphy is going back to his musical roots this summer

He may be known for his acting chops in movies like Batman, The Wind That Shakes The Barley and 28 Days Later but Cillian Murphy is going back to his musical roots this summer.

The actor will be acting as ”musical curator” at the Irish Museum of Modern Art.

The Cork native will be in charge of organising the music and possibly performing a set at IMMA’s legendary summer party.

”It’s going to be an eclectic set,” IMMA director Sarah Glennie told the Irish Independent.

”We’re delighted to have Cillian helming the music. He has a fantastic knowledge of music and a great ear.”

Before he hit the big time as an actor, Cillian previously fronted Cork based band The Sons of Mr Greengenes.
