Ryan Tubridy has revealed how he’ll be spending Valentines Day this year, and it involves plenty of popcorn.
The Late Late Show host spoke about how he likes to de-stress after work, and admitted that he will be spending Valentines doing the very same – Â enjoying a trip to the cinema solo.
“I’ll go for a walk and see a film. I always go to the cinema on my own. I usually go on a Monday afternoon,” he said.

“I’ll just slip away, turn my phone off and I just need to stop because I’m always talking
“I’m always on, I’m always moving. I buy my popcorn and Coke and I’ll go to my local cinema and see a film,” he told the Herald.
Speaking on the grounds of the RTÉ studios, Ryan admitted that he enjoys quite a simple life outside the walls of work and wouldn’t be seen at regular events or premieres during the week.
“I’ll have been invited to the premiere of it weeks before which I’ll have ignored. You don’t see me at any of those events. So I just walk the pier and I listen to Desert Island discs,” he explained.

“I’ve got quite a simple existence beyond the walls here and it’s lovely.”
While Ryan won’t be sharing Valentines Day with an other half, following his split from his former girlfriend Aoibhinn Nà Shúilleabháin, when asked about his love life he admitted he just focus’ on his job.
“No, I’m not discussing it. I just don’t get into that. I just focus on the job,” he said frankly.
The news comes as Ryan is set to host one of the greatest Late Late Show Valentine’s special’s EVER.Â
