Radio star Mairead Ronan has slammed critics of Ray D’Arcy’s now infamous Dean Strang interview.
The Dublin native worked alongside Ray on his former Today FM radio programme for eleven years and has hit out at the naysayers who thought Ray didn’t handle his interview with the Making A Murderer lawyer well.
“I’ve watched Making a Murderer, and the interview, and I thought the slack he got for it was ridiculous, I really did,” she said.
“It’s like he couldn’t please anyone doing that interview.”
Viewers of Ray’s RTE chat show took to Twitter in their droves during the episode to slate the presenter for the boring interview.
Many felt that Ray failed to get any new insight into the programme and asked lacklustre questions.

Mairead insisted that only a “tiny proportion of people” have been Making A Murderer and therefore the criticism was unfair.
“It’s a ten-hour documentary that only a tiny proportion of people have seen. Not everyone has Netflix, so I thought it was very unfair,” she told The Herald.
