EXCLUSIVE! Eoin Macken opens up on working with Milla Jovovich: 'I struggled to keep up with her'

Eoin Macken has opened up about starring in the upcoming blockbuster Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and admitted he struggled to keep up with the film’s leading lady Milla Jovovich.

The Irish actor stars as Mac in the sixth installment of the action franchise and had nothing but good things to say about his co-star.

“Milla is awesome, she has a wicked sense of humour,” he told Goss.ie.

“The movie is very fast paced and it’s very gritty. I get a lot of action scenes, I’ve a lot of scenes in it with Ali Larter and Milla.”

“I struggled to keep up with her sometimes.”

Speaking at a screening of the short film Paddy’s In The Boot at Dublin’s Bow Street Acting Academy, the actor revealed he has lots of exciting projects lined up

“I am going to write more books. I’ve written my second one. It’s set in America so it’s going to be released in America first,” he told Goss.ie.

Although his first novel, Kingdom of Scars was a success, Eoin admitted he’s not sure if it will ever get the big screen treatment.

“I don’t know if it will ever be made into a movie. I’ve adapted a book called Here Are The Young Men into a film, a guy called Rob Doyle wrote it so I’ve decided to do that first.”

The Dublin native worked alongside fellow Irish actor Kevin Ryan for Paddy’s In The Boot and the pair have plans to bring the flick to the stage.

“We had worked together briefly on some indie stuff in L.A. We had known each other for a while,” he told Goss.ie.

“We made this story into a short but we’re actually going to be making it into a play.”

“We made it into a short to explore the characters. We wanted to do something together.”

Co-stars Eoin and Kevin are judging the Jameson Empire Done in 60 Seconds competition alongside film director Jim Sheridan.

Entrants recreate a movie in 60 seconds with a finalist representing Ireland at the DISS Global Festival in March.
