We’re all absolutely glued to this year’s series of Love Island, but we can’t seem to forget about our faves from last year’s show.
In 2017, Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay were crowned the winners of the show, but unlike previous winners, the couple did not stay together for long.
From who’s split up, to who’s landed new TV gigs – we’ve found out what the reality stars have been up to since they left the villa last year.
Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies
Although they won fans hearts last year, the gorgeous couple didn’t manage to stay together for too long after the show.
According to both Amber and Kem, they pair were arguing a lot and just not getting on.
The former couple released a joint statement at the time that read, “With sadness, we’ve decided to separate. Our schedules made it difficult. We’ll remain good friends.”
So, what are Kem and Amber up to now?
Kem went on to score a record deal with fellow contestant and best friend, Chris Hughes.
After gaining attention from english rapper Stormzy, the pair released a single called Little Bit Leave It.
Kem also went on to compete on Dancing On Ice, the reality star made it to the semi finals of the show, before getting the boot.
He also released a fitness DVD, and according to The Sun, Kem charges five thousand pounds for public appearances.
Currently, the reality star hosts the new Love Island podcast with Arielle Free, and has just announced that he will be filming a new reality show with Chris Hughes.
Since leaving Love Island and splitting with Kem, Amber has also been successful.
The reality star landed herself a £500k contract with clothing brand, MotelRocks, and is a familiar face on ITV with appearances on This Morning and Lorraine.
Amber went on to publicly date James Hawkins, although the pair have now split, the model didn’t shy away from sharing intimate pics with her ex.
Amber also charges five thousand pounds for public appearances, and regularly hangs out with her former co-stars Olivia Attwood, Georgia Harrison, and Montana Brown.
Marcell Somerville and Gabby Allen
They came second to winners Kem and Amber in last years show, but their romance didn’t last as Marcell recently admitted to cheating on Gabby.
The Blazin’ Squad star revealed that he would never get over the hurt he caused his ex girlfriend.
Since he left, Marcel released a book named, Dr Marcel’s Little Book of Big Love: Your Guide to Finding Love, the Island Way.
According to The Mirror, Marcel has been tipped for this year’s series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! – but nothing has been confirmed.
Gabby has been a busy gal since leaving the Love Island villa.
The blonde personal trainer recently launched her own collection with clothes shop, Quiz.
The reality star also released a fitness app, and at the time of it’s release, it hit the top of the charts.
Most recently, she took part in a celebrity holistic bootcamp alongside Calum Best, Dan Osbourne and Stephanie Davis.
Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood
The former couple came third last year, and although they stole our hearts with taking care of (fake!) baby Cash, the couple just couldn’t make it work.
After leaving the show, the pair got their own reality show called Crackin’ On, but sadly ended their romance while filming the show.
Since their reality show ended, Chris has penned an autobiography called You Bantering Me?
Chris also participated in a Sport Relief boat race, rowing with ITV’s team, and he is currently working on a new reality show with best friend Kem Cetinay.
As for Olivia, the blonde reality star has her own weekly column in New Magazine, and has also created a fashion range with In The Style.
After Chris, Olivia went on to date her ex boyfriend, Bradley Dack, although they have since split again.
Olivia shared this recent snap of herself and pal Amber Davies, posing for the 1st anniversary since they met on Love Island.
Montana Brown
Montana and her Love Island ex, Alex Beattie, finished in fifth place – but Montana and Alex were the first of the couples to call it quits after the show.
Since their split, Montana is now dating model Elliott Reeder.
The model beauty went on to release a line of clothing with Pretty Little Thing, and she is also an ambassador for the brand.
The reality star recently just finished a six month stint presenting on MTV News, and according to The Mirror, she is currently looking for a new job.
Alex Beattie
Since his split from Montana, Alex has been focusing on work as a model.
He is currently dating Amy Katrianne, an MUA who runs amysmakeupbox.
Interestingly, Alex is friends with this year’s Love Island contestant, Adam Collard.
The pals run a gym together, and Alex recently told The Sun that Adam is looking to gain more publicity for their gym inside the villa, rather than find love.
‘Muggy’ Mike Thalassitis
Famous for his ‘Muggy’ antics on the hit show, Mike divided fans when he coupled up with Olivia Attwood, while she was already coupled up with Chris Hughes.
After the show, the former footballer went on to appear on Celebs Go Dating, alongside Gemma Collins and Sam Thompson.
Although he didn’t manage to find love on either of the dating shows, Mike is currently dating reality star Megan McKenna.
The pair briefly broke up a couple of months ago, but have recently reconciled.
Mike now makes his money through personal appearances, and promoting products on social media.
Dom Lever and Jess Shears
The couple have managed to stay together since their time in the villa, and shocked many fans when the pair announced their engagement.
The couple also hit headlines when they appeared to get married live on ITV’s The Morning – but it turned out to be a joke.
The pair are currently living together and planning their wedding.
Dom has worked as a model since he left the villa, along with being a social media influencer.
However, the reality star recently appeared on This Morning and said that Love Island ruined his career.
Speaking about having sex on the famous show, he said, “For me, it was my career done.”
“I worked with children so I couldn’t go back to doing that,” he said.
Jess also took up work as a model, and often promotes brands on social media.
According to OK! Magazine, producers of this year’s show have clamped down on the risky antics from contestants on screen, following Dom’s comments on This Morning.
Sam Gowland
During his stint on the Love Island show, Sam hooked up with TOWIE star Georgia Harrison.
The couple didn’t work out, but Sam has since moved on with Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry.
Sam now appears in the hit MTV show alongside Chloe and the rest of the Geordie gang.
The couple do appearances together, and Chloe recently moved in with Sam – so it looks like things are serious between the pair.
Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt
Camilla and Jamie are still going strong since their departure from the villa, and they are just the cutest.
The reality star took part in a celebrity boxing match for Sport Relief, where she faced off with Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton in the ring.
Camilla has also done extensive work with UK charity, Help Refugees.
Both Jamie and Camilla have been working with charities, mostly joining up together travelling around Turkey and Syria.
Jamie is still modelling, and he previously spoke out about the negative effects social media can have on people’s mental health.
The couple were pictured arguing in the street a few months ago, but the pair are still going strong.
Jonny Mitchell
Jonny was dubbed the villain on last year’s Love Island after he dumped Camilla for newcomer Tyla.
He went on to famously date The Hills and Made in Chelsea star Stephanie Pratt, however their romance didn’t last long after the reality star accused Jonny of cheating on her.
Jonny took part in Celebrity Big Brother after leaving the villa, and is currently dating model Danielle Zarb.
