Today is World Mental Health Day and people all over the world are taking to Twitter to share positive messages.
In Ireland, it’s believed that only 50% of people who have depression or a related illness seek help while the other 50% don’t, according to Irish Health.
People who do seek treatment are said to have positive mental health which is described by Mental Health Ireland as “when you can realise your own abilities, cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully, and make a contribution to your community.”
Along with an abundance of positive messages posted by Twitter used, many celebrities posted positive messages for the day including Bressie and Eoghan McDermott with show’s like Ireland AM dedicating their whole morning to the cause.
