Queen Elizabeth acknowledged Meghan Markle’s pregnancy in her annual Christmas broadcast this year.

In her festive address, the 92-year-old British monarch referenced her family’s “busy year”, as footage of her grandson Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle was shown, as well as her granddaughter Princess Eugenie’s nuptials to Jack Brooksbank.

The Queen also welcomed the arrival of two great-grandchildren – Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child, Prince Louis, and Zara and Mike Tindall’s second daughter, Lena.

“It’s been a busy year for my family, with two weddings and two babies – and another child expected soon,” Queen Elizabeth said. “It helps to keep a grandmother well occupied.”

As the monarch delivered her speech, she was surrounded by sweet photos of her family, including Meghan and Harry’s engagement photo from last year.

It comes after Meghan and the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton put on a united front as they walked to the Queen’s Sandringham Estate on Christmas Day.

The sisters-in-law appeared friendly as they walked together, amid rumours of a feud between them.
