RTÉ announce the first line-up for Dancing With The Stars

RTÉ have made their first announcement about the lineup for Dancing With The Stars 2020.

The broadcaster have revealed that the show will have four new professional dancers – but have yet to name any of the stars taking place in the new year

The new dancers will join returning seasoned DWTS pros; John Nolan, Karen Byrne, Robert Rowiński, Giulia Dotta, Kai Widdrington, Emily Barker and Ryan McShane.

New to the professional dancer line-up this year are Laura Nolan, Pasquale La Rocca, Kylee Vincent and Steven Vincent.

Irish dancer, Laura Nolan, is from Dublin. Along with ballroom and Latin dancing, Laura is also trained in ballet. Laura was a finalist in the Under 21 World Championship, placing her amongst the top ten in the world. In 2018, she and her professional partner ranked fifth in the World Open.

Fresh from being crowned champion of Dancing with the Stars in Belgium alongside his celebrity partner, Pasquale La Rocca headed straight for Dublin to join the team and begin rehearsals this week.

Originally from Italy but residing in London he’s a specialist in the Latin genre, and has featured in many finals of international competitions and represented Italy at the World Championships reaching the semi-final stage.

Kylee Vincent is a professional dancer from Pretoria, South Africa. She started dancing at the age of eight and has experience in freestyle, slow dance, hip-hop and contemporary but specialises in Latin. She represented South Africa in Italy at the Junior World championships. Kylee is the undefeated WDC South African under 21 Latin champion.

And finally Manchester-born, Stephen Vincent started dancing at six years of age. At the age of sixteen he won the title of UK Latin Champion and represented the UK internationally at the world championships.

Stephen studied dance at Italia Conti in London. His theatre credits include West End shows, Latin Fever and Cheek to Cheek and Burn the Floor which he has toured with worldwide since 2006. He is married to fellow-DWTS pro, Kylee Vincent.

Now that the dancers are confirmed they will soon be partnered with their celebrity partners.

While no stars have yet to be named for the new series, Goss.ie can reveal a Fair City star will take place in the new season, and producers have been teasing a “huge celeb” taking to the dance floor in January.

Both Nicky Byrne and Jennifer Zamparelli are expected to return as co-hosts.
