It looks like the Queen has a soft spot for Prince Harry’s fiancée Meghan Markle.

In a break from royal tradition, the bride-to-be was invited to Sandringham to spend Christmas with the royal family back in December – and now, it’s been revealed that Meghan enjoyed an “intimate” lunch with Queen Elizabeth II on Mother’s Day.

The intimate lunch came just a day before Meghan made her first public appearance alongside the Queen at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.

According to ABC News, Buckingham and Kensington Palaces declined to comment on the lunch, but it is understood that the Queen was at Windsor on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan were spotted giggling after Liam Payne’s performance at Westminster Abbey.
