Meghan Markle has revealed that her wedding veil included a secret nod to her first date with Prince Harry.
In a sneak peek from the upcoming HBO documentary Queen of the World, the Duchess of Sussex told how she honoured her first date with Harry within her 16-foot wedding veil.
The footage sees Meghan getting a chance to see her wedding dress for the first time since tying the knot in May.
While looking at her veil, Meghan says: “Somewhere in here there’s a piece of blue fabric that’s stitched inside — it was my something blue.”
The former actress went on to explain: “It’s fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date.”
Meghan’s veil, which was made from silk tulle, also featured a trim of hand-embroidered flowers from each of the 53 counties in the Commonwealth, the family of nations linked to the UK, in threads and organza.
