With the news that Ant McPartlin is not returning to TV in the next year, rumours are swirling about who will replace him on I’m A Celebrity.
The TV host’s partner-in-crime Declan Donnely will still co-host the show, but now reports suggest Holly Willoughby could be by his side.
It will be the first time Ant and Dec won’t host the show together since it aired 16 years ago.
A source told the Mirror: “Holly is very close friends with Ant and Dec and both she and Phil (Schofield) have been backing Ant since his troubles.
“Ant and Dec both love her and I am sure they’d be thrilled if she got the job.
“They share a management company so Holly already knows what being in the Jungle for weeks entails,” the insider added.
According to the report, next month Dec will begin having formal discussions with ITV about Ant’s replacement.
Meanwhile Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway will not go ahead in 2019.
