Historic Irish pub ‘honoured’ to host Shane Lowry’s Open Championship celebrations

Historic Irish pub Devitts on Camden Street played host to Shane Lowry’s post Open Championship celebrations.

The pro-golfer won the 148th Open at Royal Portrush over the weekend.

Lowry celebrated at 37 Dawson Street in Dublin, before popping in to Devitts.

The publicans uploaded a snap to their Instagram, holding the Claret Jug.

“We are truly honoured to have this Irish sporting legend in celebrating his Open Championship win with us last night, what a night,” they wrote.

Rory McIlroy also took the time to congratulate the golfer on his achievement.
