The FINAL two contestants for Dancing With The Stars have been revealed

The final two contestants for RTÉ One’s Dancing With The Stars has been revealed.

Appearing on the 1000th episode of The Today Show with Daithí and Maura, Mary Kennedy and Aidan Fogarty were announced as the 10th and 11th dancers for the show.

Hitting the Dancefloor in January, Mary and Aidan will join Glenda Gilson, Grainne Gallanagh, Ryan Andrews, Lottie Ryan, Sinead O’Carroll, Michael Carruth, Brian Dowling, Fr. Ray Kelly and Yewande Biala.

Speaking about her upcoming participation on the hit television show, Nationwide presenter Mary said: “I’m really looking forward to it, I’m quite petrified but I’m looking forward to learning new dances and doing something different.”

“I’ve always been a fan and I’ve come out to watch the live show every year it’s been on so now it’s time to pony up and put my money where my mouth is,” she said.

Kilkenny hurler Aidan Fogarty said he is excited, and nervous.

“I feel really excited and really nervous. I’ve played in All-Ireland finals and I was coming up here today thinking I’d have taken an All-Ireland Final any day over this, but really excited and really nervous is probably the best way to describe how I’m feeling.”

Contestants have been announced for the show over the last week with a number revealed on various RTÉ chat shows.

Michael, Ray and Yewande were announced as participants on the upcoming series when they appeared on The Late Late Show on Friday night.

Brian Dowling appeared on The Ray D’arcy Show on Saturday night as it was revealed he was set to take to the dancefloor on the show.

Brian was rumoured to be appearing on the show when photos of him rehearsing with pro-dancer Laura Nolan were leaked to the press.

Returning to RTÉ One at 6.30 pm on Sunday, January 5th, Brian Redmond, Loraine Barry and Julian Benson will all return to the judging panel.

Meanwhile, Nicky Byrne and Jennifer Zamperelli will once again host the 12-week series.
