This is the app everyone is using to share those HILARIOUS ‘old person’ selfies

This is GAS!

Have you noticed a lot of people sharing photos of themselves looking decades older on social media?

Well, it’s all because of a face manipulation app called FaceApp, which you can download for free through the AppStore or GooglePlay.

The app first came out in 2017, but gained popularity this month when it launched a new filter which makes you look 60 years older – and the results are frighteningly realistic.

Using a picture of any person, the filter generates an image of the person looking decades older, and some of our favourite influencers have tried it out.

James Kavanagh shared a photo of him and his partner William at a premiere, sporting grey hair and wrinkles.

James Patrice also shared photos of himself looking years older, and hilariously compared himself to Santa Claus.
