The HUAWEI P30 launches this week – and this is why I’ve ditched the iPhone for it

The new HUAWEI P30 will hit Irish stores on April 5th – and I couldn’t recommend a switch to the brand more.

I officially made the switch from iPhone to HUAWEI this time last year, after I was brought on my first press trip with the brand.

I knew nothing about the technology or the interface but as soon as I held the P20 Pro in my hands and got to take my first photo – I never looked back.

Cut to my sister’s wedding last summer where I basically became the official photographer of the weekend – and the photos were genuinely as good as a DSLR.

I’m just back from another HUAWEI press trip to Paris, where I joined journalists, tech writers and bloggers in the city of love for the magical unveiling.

Here’s what I love about the HUAWEI P30 Pro:

  • The photo quality is the best I’ve ever seen, and definitely better than any other phone on the market right now
  • The video quality is seriously HD as well
  • There is HUGE memory on this one with options of 128GB, 256GB and 512 GB
  • There’s a Super Zoom Lens that you honestly need to see to believe
  • The battery life is insane, I can go nearly a full day without the battery dying

If you’re wondering what the photo quality is like, here’s a few photos top Dublin photographer Evan Doherty took with the new model.
